Terms and conditions of sale
Please read these terms carefully before placing an order on sleepyz.be. Any order implies their full and unconditional acceptance.

1. Seller identity
The website sleepyz.be is operated by Carla Dirickx, self-employed natural person, registered at Rue de la Station 88, 7090 Braine-le-Comte, Belgium.
Belgian company number (BCE): BE 1037.808.443.
VAT: not subject to VAT under the Belgian small business exemption scheme (article 56bis of the Belgian VAT Code). Prices displayed are net prices, no VAT applicable.

2. Purpose and scope
These Terms and Conditions of Sale ("T&Cs") govern all sales of products offered on sleepyz.be to consumers, within the meaning of article I.1, 2° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law.
They apply to the exclusion of any other conditions, in particular those applicable to sales via Vinted, which remain subject to Vinted's terms.
Sleepyz reserves the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. The version applicable to an order is the one in force at the time the order is confirmed by the customer.
3. Products offered
Sleepyz offers handmade baby mobiles, hand-sewn by Carla Dirickx in her workshop in Braine-le-Comte. Two sales channels coexist:
- "Catalog" mobiles: ready-made pieces sold via the Vinted platform. These T&Cs do not apply to those sales — they are governed by Vinted's terms.
- "Custom-made" mobiles: produced to order based on a composition chosen by the customer via the 3D configurator. These sales are governed by these T&Cs and processed via Stripe.
4. Order
The customer composes their mobile via the 3D configurator, confirms the pieces, colors and composition, then fills in their details and picks a Mondial Relay pickup point on the order page.
The order becomes firm and final after Stripe confirms the payment. The customer receives a confirmation e-mail containing the order summary, order number (format SLP-XXXXXX) and estimated production lead time.
Sleepyz reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order for any legitimate reason, in particular obvious pricing errors, suspicion of fraud or technically unfeasible requests. In the event of cancellation after payment, the customer is fully refunded.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are displayed in euros (€) and are net prices, no VAT applicable (small business exemption art. 56bis Belgian VAT Code). Shipping fees are shown before final payment validation.
Payment is made exclusively online, at the time of order, via the Stripe platform (PCI DSS level 1 certified). Accepted payment methods are: credit card (Visa, Mastercard) and Bancontact.
Payment data (card number, security code) is processed directly by Stripe and never transmitted to Sleepyz, which only sees the payment status.
No additional fees are charged by Sleepyz. The displayed total is the final amount due.
6. Production and shipping lead times
Each custom-made mobile is hand-sewn to order. Estimated production lead time is 5 working days from payment confirmation.
Shipping is then carried out via Mondial Relay to a pickup point. Mondial Relay delivery times are indicative: 3 to 5 working days for Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands; 5 to 8 working days for Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Austria.
These lead times are given for information only and do not commit Sleepyz to strict compliance, especially in periods of high activity or force majeure.
Upon shipping, the customer receives an e-mail with their Mondial Relay tracking number. The customer is responsible for collecting the parcel from the pickup point within the deadline set by the carrier. If the parcel is not collected on time, it will be returned to Sleepyz at the customer's expense.
7. Shipping — Mondial Relay pickup points
Sleepyz ships exclusively to Mondial Relay pickup points. No home delivery is currently offered.
The pickup point is chosen by the customer themselves at the time of order, from those available around their postal code. The address stored by Sleepyz and used for shipping is that of the selected pickup point.
Countries covered: Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Austria.
Transport-related risks transfer upon handover of the parcel to the carrier. However, in the event of loss or damage attributable to transport, Sleepyz will handle the claim with Mondial Relay and proceed with a refund or new shipment depending on the circumstances.
8. Right of withdrawal — custom-made exception
In accordance with article VI.53, 3° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law (transposing EU directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods made to consumer specifications or clearly personalized.
All mobiles sold directly via the sleepyz.be configurator fall under this exception: each mobile is unique and manufactured specifically after receipt of the order, based on the pieces, colors and composition chosen by the customer.
Consequently, no return, exchange or refund is possible once the order is confirmed, except in case of a defect of conformity covered by the legal warranty (see next section).
This exception is explicitly recalled before each order is validated, and its acceptance by the customer (checkbox) is a necessary condition for completing the purchase.
9. Legal warranty of conformity (2 years)
In accordance with articles 1649bis et seq. of the Belgian Civil Code, the customer benefits from a 2-year legal warranty of conformity from delivery of the product.
This warranty covers any defect of conformity existing at the time of delivery: hidden defect, manufacturing defect, or material non-conformity to the product description.
During the first 6 months after delivery, any defect is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery (reversed burden of proof). Beyond that, it is up to the customer to establish that the defect existed initially.
Excluded from the warranty: normal wear and tear, defects caused by inappropriate use (chewing by the baby, non-compliant washing, prolonged exposure to humidity), any modification or repair by the customer, and any accidental damage.
Any warranty claim must be sent to [email protected] within a reasonable time (at most 2 months) after discovery of the defect. The customer must include photos of the defect and the order number.
In case of a covered defect, Sleepyz will repair or replace the product free of charge. If neither is possible or disproportionate, a full refund may be offered.
10. Liability
Sleepyz's liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the order concerned. Sleepyz cannot be held liable for any indirect damage arising from the use of the product.
Sleepyz mobiles are decorative items intended to be hung out of reach of the baby. They are not toys and must under no circumstances be handled by the child. The parent or guardian remains solely responsible for the safe placement of the mobile in the room.
Sleepyz is not liable for delays or impossibilities of delivery due to the carrier (Mondial Relay), force majeure events (natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, etc.) or incorrect information provided by the customer (wrong pickup point, invalid e-mail).
11. Personal data
Processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, accessible from the site footer ("Privacy policy" link).
In summary, data collected (identity, e-mail, phone, pickup point address, order composition) is used exclusively for order processing, manufacturing, delivery and legal accounting retention.
No data is ever sold to third parties. Stripe, Resend (for confirmation e-mails) and Mondial Relay are the only sub-processors handling part of this data, strictly within the scope of their service.
12. Intellectual property
All content on sleepyz.be (texts, photos, illustrations, "Sleepyz" trademark, 3D configurator, source code) is protected by copyright and belongs to Sleepyz or its partners.
Any reproduction, representation, modification or exploitation, in whole or in part, without prior written authorization, is strictly prohibited and may constitute counterfeiting.
13. Mediation and dispute resolution
In case of a dispute, the customer is invited to contact Sleepyz by e-mail ([email protected]) to seek an amicable solution.
Failing amicable resolution, the customer can contact (free of charge) the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service, accessible via mediationconsommateur.be.
The customer may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Failing mediation, any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of Belgian courts. Applicable law is Belgian law.
14. Acceptance and enforceability
Validating an order via the payment button constitutes express and irrevocable acceptance of these T&Cs. The customer acknowledges having read and understood all these terms before finalizing the order.
If any provision of these T&Cs is declared null or unenforceable, the other provisions shall remain fully in force.
